Arek Bialkowski

Personal Training
Junior Weightlifting

Arek has trained at Heavy Metal Gym since the day we opened and we are pleased to say that he enjoyed it so much, he decided to make a career out of fitness and is now a Personal Trainer here!

Arek's main focus is to encourage teenagers and young adults to do regular exercise. He believes that exercise isn't only a way to improve yourself physically but also a way to take care of your mental health.



Monica Torland

Strength & Conditioning

Monica uses her vast experience as a Strength & Conditioning coach working with athletes, such as Welsh Athletics, Bristol Rovers Football Club and Norways’ 24 hour ultra-team, to ensure you receive the most professional service possible.

With an approach tailored to your goals, Monica can help you optimise your sporting performance, or just assist you in gaining and maintaining your ideal fitness level.

Andrew Billington

Personal Training

Andrew has built up a wealth of experience with clients of all ages and abilities. He puts that experience to good use in assisting people reach their individual goals by making sure their programs are designed to focus on their own needs.

Alongside being the main face behind the counter here at Heavy Metal he also teaches group High Intensity Interval Training. Whilst this is not supposed to be easy Andrew is skilled in scaling things to suit each participant.


Pete Billington

Personal Training
Strength Coach

With over 25 years experience in physique & strength sports Pete has helped people achieve a variety of goals ranging from taking their physique to a competitive stage to becoming powerlifting champions.

Pete also heads up our powerlifting team and has steered our athletes to victory both at regional & national level.
